Are you a young player seriously interested in taking your billiards career to the next level? Then you’re in the right place! The Black Widow Foundation is proud to announce that the inaugural Black Widow Junior’s Camp will take place starting Tuesday-Thursday, from July 29-31, 2014. Created by Jeanette Lee and hosted in central Indiana at Bradford Woods, a beautiful nature preserve with excellent “summer camp – like” accommodations, this program is designed to bridge the gap between accomplished junior players (age 14-18 with intermediate to advanced skill levels) and professionals, providing the junior players with a unique venue in which to interact with and learn from champions of the sport.
Our future champions need and want our guidance and friendship. Students will have the opportunity to interact and bond with other players with similar interests and skills and to experience firsthand the skill and dedication of the professional players. We are structuring the class offerings in a manner suitable for the age group of the campers; with many short sessions designed to keep the interest of the student, and to allow as much on-table instruction and demonstration as possible. Some classes will be mandatory for all campers, and some will be elective.
The professionals listed below share Jeanette’s belief in the importance of this endeavor and have graciously and enthusiastically volunteered to instruct at our inaugural Black Widow Juniors Camp as well as future ones. At least six of these pros will be instructing this year (depending on tournament schedules). The official list of this year’s instructors will be posted in these coming months once tournament schedules are confirmed.
